Meet Ms. Lizzie

Lizzie Heinmiller, MS CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist serving the pediatric population of Southern Maryland, with tele-therapy opportunities for clients in Maryland, Virginia, and Colorado. Lizzie started her career working in a PreK-5 school in Southern Maryland before moving to Colorado in 2021 to work in pediatric home health. While working in pediatric home health, she gained experience developing functional therapy plans and working with families of children aged 1 month-16 years old with various speech and language disorders, feeding and swallowing disorders, and rare/complex medical disorders. She moved back to Southern Maryland in 2024 and has worked in the public school system. Throughout her career, Lizzie has treated children with various disorders including Childhood Apraxia of Speech, articulation disorders, stuttering, cluttering, Autism, Down Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, AAC assessment and intervention, receptive and expressive language disorders, literacy disorders, pragmatic language disorders, and pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. She is passionate about providing neurodiversity-affirming care and meeting kids where they are.

Lizzie maintains her position with Girl Power 2 Cure and Rett University, linked non-profit organizations who focus on fundraising for a cure and promoting literacy and language development in individuals with Rett Syndrome.

She lives with her dog, Honey, in Maryland. Lizzie loves to read, drink coffee, and get ice cream with her friends and family.
